The streets were filled with families and friends which joined us for a fun filled day of art, music and entertainment. Heart for Art hosted and supported the work of talented artists from the different non for profit organizations and other local artists across the city.

We gave Calagry an opportunity to walk along Stephen Avenue and admire, purchase, and connect with local artists.
Heart for Art 2017 forever changed Canadian Artists Against Poverty’s (formerly Canadians Artists for the Poor) mission and vision. We became committed to empowering and educating vulnerable communities across Calgary by providing art instruction classes and opportunities to mitigate social isolation.

ArtWalk is an opportunity for the City of Calgary to connect with talented artists across Alberta. This year Canadian Artists for the Poor (CAP) hosted their 8th annual ArtWalk on Thursday, August 18, 2016 along Stephen Avenue. Calgarians near and far travelled to the downtown core to admire and purchase various artwork from our supporting artists. A portion of the money collected was donated to the Calgary Association of Self Help's (currently Elements Mental Health Centre) art class. We look forward to carrying out our mission and vision through events like ArtWalk.
